Congratulations are due to actress Nicole Kidman!
The Australian Hollywood star and Chanel spokeswoman is expecting a baby with her husband, the country singer Keith Urban.
Publicist Wendy Day said in a statement: "Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban confirmed today that they are expecting a baby. The couple are thrilled."
Kidman adopted two children with former husband Tom Cruise but revealed last year she had had two miscarriages in their 10-year relationship.
The Oscar-winning Kidman, 40, married Urban in 2006 and recently finished filming Baz Luhrmann epic Australia.
In November, Kidman, who won an Oscar for The Hours, told a woman's magazine she would love to have a child with Urban.
"What will be will be. It's in God's hands," she said.
Nicole was supposed to start shooting The Reader in Germany later this month but according to the New York Post, she’s now dropped out of the production despite already having spent time in preparation for the role and had a series of costume fittings.
She is also said to have rescheduled a photo shoot with for Vanity Fair’s annual Hollywood issue, bringing it forward because, according to the newspaper’s source, “the costumes she’s set to wear won’t fit her much longer.”
