Not long after I posted my last message, Princess finally pooped. It was not even a big deal -- she just went in there to pee, and the next thing I know she was calling to show me her enormous, gigantic, montrosity of a turd in the toilet. Of course, it was so big it clogged the toilet and water ran all over the bathroom. But I didn't care -- I had my little girl back! She immediately started acting like her sweet self again. The color came back to her cheeks, and she was perky and happy the rest of the day.
We've got a "honeymoon period" of about three days before she starts showing signs of poop issues again. I will enjoy those good times and try to talk to some sense into her in the meantime. I am convinced that these problems are not medical. She is simply a scared, stubborn little girl who refuses to poop until she is good and ready. I only hope we don't find ourselves sending her off to college with extra panties in case she has an accident!
